How do I invert Pan/Tilt?

ZerOS is capable of making alignment adjustments to your fixtures to take into account their rigging position. Alignment is the term given for inverting/swapping Pan & Tilt.

Inverting Tilt can be particularly useful if you’ve rigged Front of House fixtures the opposite way around to those onstage, or you have some fixtures sat on the floor. Inverting Pan can be particularly useful if you wish your rig to be symmetrical, so the beams move into and away from Centre Stage rather than all in the same direction. Swapping Pan and Tilt can be particularly useful if a fixture is rigged on its side. In this function, any values defined for Pan will be output on the Tilt channel(s), and any values defined for Tilt will be output on the Pan channel(s).

Inverting and Swapping is done by tapping SETUP to enter the fixture schedule. You can then tap in the cell for each fixture you want to adjust under the Invert or Swap columns. Alternatively to change a group of fixtures in one go, select your moving fixtures using Syntax, Groups, Channel select buttons, or Patch Groups at the bottom of the Fixture Schedule. This will bring just those fixtures into the Schedule...

You can then tap the Column header for Invert, to set the Inversion for all the selected fixtures. You will be presented with the following Options...

After choosing the Inversion, tap the Column header for Swap for Swap Options...

You will then see your alignment changes in the fixture schedule...

The Invert & Swap Columns won't be present in the Fixture Schedule if your patched fixtures don't have Pan/Tilt.

Tip: With a fixture’s home position of Pan and Tilt at 50%, inverting or swapping these parameters won’t make a instant visible change. Therefore, it’s recommended that before editing these values, you select all the fixtures and move them all to a different position. Now, as you change the values within “Alignment”, you’ll see the beams updating live.
